What is an Industrial Panel

Industrial control panels (ICPs) are defined by the National Electrical Code (NEC) Section 409.2 as an assembly of two or more power circuit components, control circuit components, or any combination of power and control circuit components. These components are typically switches, terminal blocks, contactors, motor drives, transformers, overcurrent protective devices and the like.

What FICS can Provide

FICS has UL files for 508A and NNNY control panels. 508A panels are industrial control panels for ordinary locations(non-hazardous). NNNY are industrial control panels for hazardous locations that may contain gases known to cause a fire or explosion. We can provide a UL, cUL, or cULus listed control panel for these applications.

Benefits of a UL Listed Control Panel

The application of a UL listed label signifies an adherence to UL requirements. Whether as a part of your facility or part of a customer package, less concern can be placed on the proper application of materials and components of a panel bearing this mark.
